Lisainmo - HEllo there. YOu were up bright and early. Last night I was sitting with Katharine and at the window we saw two little kitties abuot 2 months old peeking in the window. These are from the outside cat who I have fed for years but can't pet her. ANyway, they were so cute. They come out to play at night . Little black and white ones like my Annabelle. So I can imagine what mine will look like.

Good morning everyone, I hate to miss a day checking in on your PDA Debbie because I am always so far behind when I do. Hubby had a rain day yesterday so he came home and we went house hunting together. I thought it was going to be easier this time with the just the two of us to think about but I don't think so. Then I had to check into the heart center last night for a 2nd sleep study test and I was beat from running around in the heat but still couldn't sleep good. They told me I have to go back for still another test and then I will be fitted for a cpap machine. wow what an ordeal that whole thing has turned out to be. But I didn't realize how dangerous sleep apena is and how much heart damage it can cause so I am happy to be getting everything figured out.
The pics of the kitties are sew darn cute. I can't wait to get moved so I can have a kitty again.
Your grand girls are just beautiful!! Aren't they just fantastic to spend time with? I am happy that they like to quilt with you and OMGosh hand sew!!! That is awesome.

You need steady air at night. I quit breathing 4 times in a hour and mvoed around a lot. NOw I hardly move at all. I had to go back twice too as I don't sleep long enough for them to get a good test. LOL. I stayed up late and all day so I was ready for it. What were you hunting?

I really love your kittens Deb, thank you so much for posting them for me - and for everyone else! Their little eyes are so cute and I just love that little tongue hanging out!
My sister got a puppy on Saturday and Beth and I met her last night. She's supposed to be some kind of Australian something dog, but my friend Beth (who used to work in a shelter) says that she's more of a hound mix. She's really beautiful and so tiny. My sister says she weighs only 6 lbs. Oh, I forgot to say that my sister also has a 4 year old Bernese Mountain dog who weighs 100 lbs. Tucker isn't so thrilled with little Frankie yet, but it's actually payback for him. When he was a baby, he tormented my sister's 3 cats, so this it's funny to watch little Frankie climbing all over monstrous Tucker!

Weekend is almost here
The girls got up and we went to Bluff Dale to mail my packages. Haley got to drive there and back. SHe is doing good. 15 and not getting her license for a while but she can learn now. Now we are all sitting in the living room sewing on hand quilt tops. They are having fun. Katharine already knows how to quilt but Haley's first. Hubby is outside, a little grumpy so I am thinking he is ready for the company to leave. We have had company for a week. Then my surgeries. We are ready to relax and get back to normal.
No rain here yet and no rain in sight. It's so hot and dry here. So I am going to work on NP3's quilt, it's almost done and ready to go. Then on to my projects. Everyone have a good weekend. I am keeping my pda updated on line. WIll learn to move it here soon. HUGS♥♥

More doodles
I came in tonight to look at the slide show of pictures and all the memories came back of the retreat. I love reliving it again and again. SO many friends and fun times. I called my mom today and she is doing fine. Says she is ready to come back to visit. She was here last friday thru monday, went with me to get my stitches out and then we swung by to get Haley and Katharine to go swimming at her house. After they swam we came home for the week. Mason stayed home to have alone time from the girls.
Katharine and Haley are learning to hand quilt and I gave them both a project to work on. They have been fun having them here. Not used to cooking such a large meal and the snacks seem to disappear. LOL. Growing teens. So Janae will pick them up Saturday.
The six kittens are doing well, eyes are opening slowly. Momma cat is a good mommy too. Now it seems for sure Bella is going to have a litter. Her belly is growing now too. Oh my. More kittens.
I am quilting the quilt for NP3 for her hubby. Almost done and should be able to mail it by monday. Then getting her and Gary a Don't mess with Texas shirt. She wanted them but could not find them on the way home.
Holly brought me a large tv yesterday so I could see it while I sew. She really takes care of her daddy and I. Janae take care of us too. She stayed with me at the hospital and I was not being so nice this time....the meds made me paranoid and no sleep. She was a sweetheart to put up wiht the momma bear. I am proud she is going to college and getting her degree while working full time. Not an easy thing to do.
Well, I found another quilting site today someone told me about. Apparently another new one as membership is low. Called "thequiltingspot.com" I signed up today. Will watch it grow too. Th quilting haven has almost 300 members now. In the last day I had 4 friends come and join us. I sent emails out. Of course they will check out the QB too. More places to visit. I spent more time on the boards this week with kids here. Can't concentrate on my quilting with so much going on.
Well, enough for tonight. Need to quilt some more. Katharine is sitting here sewing her quilt top while we watch tv. Hubby is in bed and Haley went to bed early too. Good night.

I haven't been here much because lots of company this week. Two granddaughters are here and mom just went home. SO I will be back soon.

Hello
I haven't been here late but I still love it. Just catching up on things. Today my mom called and she wants to go to winstar casisno. She has been so patient. SIs is in Laughlin,Nv on an extended vacation that started on the 10th. SO I am getting my stitches out in the morning and then going to get her and off to Oklahoma. Play until around 5 and then come home here. I have to be back for NP3
s party on the QB. Looks like fun. I like being on two boards. Lots of new friends. But so glad things are back to normal on the QB.
It's been a rough road for me...I finally realized, I do have an issue with my chemical imbalance. SOon it wil be back to normal. I hope. So I am taking it easy on the board and leaving if it gets tough. No negative things to post. It's funny how others can talk wit each other like nothing has happened. We are friends on the board. Just hard sometimes to keep everyone happy. One day I hope to make amends with everyone who I have issues with or them with me. I have already tried on all parts but no responses so.....what will be will be.......I have good thoughts about it all.
I am so glad to get my stitches out tomorrow. They are really sticking me and getting too tight. Swelling seems to be down. Will ask questions tomorrow too to see the effects of heat and cold on me. Also about getting blood pressure meds. Just since the first surgery, it has been high. Ev en in the hospital I had to take thinner shots in my belly. Not fun. It was a tougher time this time but I am past it now. Looking forward to a long history of mo surgeries. Crossing fingers here.
I booked a Retreat at Quilts Inn again in Granbury for local people. Only have 4 so far. Only need 10 but can have up to 12. Haven't posted it yet. Sent some pm's and will email some too. 5 have declined here in the immediate area. Already have plans. Three months ahead....sounds familiar.
Anyway, I post mainly on my pda on the QB but come here to check things out, listen to the music and look at my slides shows. I love those pictures.
Joined a swap on the QH board and got my partner today and in case she looks in here I can't say who it is but it will be interesting. Joanieu got hers too. First one we are trying there. It lasts the rest of the year and we reveal at xmas. Doing a few at a time. Then will do some on the QB again.
SO tomorrow , get mom, go to okalahoma, leave there at 5 to get home in time for the party.

Good Mews......
Last night, Annabelle gave birth starting at 1 a.m. and ending today at 2. She had 5 as of around 7 and then around 2 had one more. That one must have been asleep. SO 6 babies here in my room. She is a good mommy too. SHe is my pet and wants to be on my lap or close to me....so she comes to visit and shortly hears the babies mewing and off she goes. Then from the basket she looks at me like....well....are you coming?
Not much going on right now. I know it's been in the triple digit heat for over 16 days now and we are in a drought here in Texas. So hot, no rain, my yard is turning brown, no mowing needed, watering only the gardens to save my plants I have had so long. What a year. Heat is not good and dry is never good here. Fires are inevitable and scarey. I hope we all get thru this dry spell safely and the rains come soon. Did I hear them say no hurricanes yet this year? Really?
So everyone be careful in the heat, enjoy the summer vacation and your kids. My gks are ocming soon for a visit.
My skull surgery was July 6th and I am getting stitches out soon. I am so glad too. hat was two of those surgeries within two months. Ready to move on.
Most of my doodles from Debbie are still on the quiltingboard.com so join us there. It's fun. I have over 590 + pages so can't move them all here. Hope you come see us there too.

Sunday and it's hot.
Good morning. Well, breaking news. I am staying on the QB because I did some soul searching and realized I have been thru so much with my surgeries and all and have to admit, my chemicals are raging in my head. So I know I want to stay with my friends on the QB and I will play elsewhere too.
I am going back to the happy board last february when all the changes started and thinking freshly, no negative...just positive. We all have our days, If I am having one, I will stay off all boards.
Thank you for all who supported me thru this new beginning as I call it. YOu were so important, I could not walk away, now that kind of power I can deal with. LOL. Hugs to you all.
I can play in all world s and not feel guilty I am cheating. We are grownups and now I will act like one. Brain permitting of course. It's nice to know I am a person of interest on the QB and will be missed and because of this, I was not kicked right out of the QB universe. Thank you PJ. Now for me, I am exploring other places and found that at quiltinghaven.com lots of qb'ers are there too and the board is nice, smaller, and no one to tell you when or what to say. Good morning
It's a beautiful day. I was up until late 2am and got up to a wonderful breakfast with my hubby. Still moving slowly, dizzy when standing, but doing a little here and there. I am so glad this surgery is over. I am even thinking this will be my last one this year. I am tired and need to revamp. My elbow will wait. Hopefully the RA meds will keep the swelling down to a minimum and I will take it easy on that arm. Of course, today I am just two days home so things could change.
This morning went fast. I actually did one load of laundry and made the beds. Taking my time.
NP3 is busy today with family and then will be able to go on a short trip with her dd and dgks. So glad they can get a few days off. As always, I miss her when she isn't on board but glad everyone can take time with family. Family is first. Joanieu is busy too. I talked to her several times.
I am thinking I will keep on my PDA with qb friends. Here, just things I want to remember and save. A fun place my friends set up for me. How fun. I love it all.
The pictures slide shows were awesome. Nurses came in and oohed and awwed over the quilts and pictures and all my friends. A few are even going to try out a quilting place themselves. I don't know how long I would lay and watch my slide shows. What memories. Can't wait to see who has a retreat next. I have several wanting me to do one here in October for locals so I just might do it or help Isnthatodd anyway. Two can organize as good as one. I am saving my pennies to go to California or wherever a retreat is. Craftybear found a place near her in Indiana. Roadtrip coming on. First one has to be to California to the Valley girls. Lots of qb members there. Well, time to go to MIL's for a wonderful roast dinner. Yummers. This isn't just because of my surgery, we always have each other over we live so close but nice to know she is on the hill. And I am here for her.

I signed up for a pincushion swap last night elsewhere and it is a trial. Just to check out other places. I'll always come back to this one. I love Mark Lipinski's and Bonnie HUnt's , Carol Doak. And am finding the smaller yahoo groups fun to play on. I have been on several over the years. The Quiltingangels are next to Stitchin Heaven and have retreats right there. Small is around 200+ to me. Teresa is a dear moderator too. And she is a friend. She checks on me and sends cards, I'm going to the next retreat in December. Sewitsforsale is another place to sell. I am saving my pennies to go to California or wherever a retreat is. Craftybear found a place near her in Indiana. Roadtrip coming on. First one has to be to California to the Valley girls. Lots of qb members there. Well, time to go to MIL's for a wonderful roast dinner. Yummers. This isn't just because of my surgery, we always have each other over we live so close but nice to know she is on the hill. And I am here for her.

I signed up for a pincushion swap last night elsewhere and it is a trial. Just to check out other places. I'll always come back to this one. I love Mark Lipinski's and Bonnie HUnt's , Carol Doak. And am finding the smaller yahoo groups fun to play on. I have been on several over the years. The Quiltingangels are next to Stitchin Heaven and have retreats right there. Small is around 200+ to me. Teresa is a dear moderator too. And she is a friend. She checks on me and sends cards, I'm going to the next retreat in December. Sewitsforsale is another place to sell. Lots of places. Bonnie Hunt is scrappy type. Scrap Happy will have to visit her site too. Well, time to go. Back later.

Going home soon
I am going home tomorrow the 11th. So ready. This was a longer stay and a harder one. Took me a few days to shake off the antibiotics and other meds but I got off them yesterday and then none today. At least no pain meds. Yes, I hurt when you touch me but am showing them I am ready to go home. At least no major iv meds. My poor arms /veins collapsed as soon as the meds went thru. Wow. strong little things. But already my bruises are getting lighter. Now the face bruising has yet to get going good. They start after I get home. Swelling is going down slowly also.
There was a nice man my age who had 8 of these surgeries to repair his head. He too was excited he finally got the bionics approved by his insurance. In ICU next to me. His was seemed to be more invasive than mine was.....God rest his soul, he passed the night before we were coming to the Tower floors. I was sad. They can't talk about it either. But his monitor was next to mine and I saw it when it went code red. Never came back on and lots of activities.
I am glad to be going home. My hubby and his cousin have been working on my kitchen counters. Should be done soon. Lots of rest when I get home still. They say couple of weeks before traveling and such. More later.

Saturday 2a.m.
OMG what a trip., I am taking some heavy drugs and meds for my surgery post care. The next thing I notice is that I am tied up in y sheets, my iv bands are barely hanging on. <My back of the gown is open and loose, and my back itches so badly.
NP3 then proceeds to say she has patterns to sell. So I try to go to classifieds and find them. Not happening.l Then I find them and cannot figure out how to post to her to buy them. Give up after sending pm's no telling where. Then finally I give p and call her. Mind you I sound like a drunk .
Then she is laughing on the phone when I call her. Really? But she gets my order, I think, and we hang up. Oh my....So I am posting this before I lose it again too. This is number two memo. Lost the first one.

Friday
Just lost another page. Jeeze, like I can remember what I already wrote. Oh well. I have to go and edit something out of my posts. And company will be here soon so might as well get ready. I'll post more later. Getting used to coming here too.
Hey girls, several nurses and family have stood and watched the slide shows with me. They think you are pretty special too for doing this for me. They love the music too. I can't wait to get Cathy Miller quilting songs here. Seems appropriate.
Well, hopefully , I will post when I get to my room today.
They had to take me off morphine and demeral and put me on diaginool (sp) GAIGAI help me out here. And I take shots in my stomach again for blood thinners, high blood pressure, legs still in those clot buster leggings blowing up once every thirty minutes.
Tubes still everywhere and pulling down so I finally tucked the tubes into my pocket on my gown. That keeps the weight off them and not pulling on my head.Back Later♥♥

Friday after surgery
Well today started well. I just typed a page full about my surgery and being here and off it went to lala-=land. So having to start over.
I had surgery Wednesday morning around 10 and all went well. I was out quickly and moved to ICU where I still am. The hospital is full and especially Dr. Ducic's tower where only his patients go with his specialized staffing. I'm one of two left to get a room. LOL. But I like it here in ICU too. Great staff here. Friendly.
I have heard and seen that they did a new cut a half inch behind the ones they have been using. So this explains the new pain. Apparently the surgery from May was healing but still had issues so better to cut a fresh one. So now I have what looks like a little railroad track. Nice and neat again though. And Jessuca only cut a small strip of hair across the new cut so the hair in front is sill there and can grow to cover anything they could not get straight.
The man in the room next to me has had 8 of these surgeries and he said this was his worst one too. But he also got bionics now so won't have to have more surgeries in the future. Like me. My only surgery left I know of us my left elbow. Kawasaki Outerbridge. Hopefull by the end of the year so my deductibles are already paid.
The staff here is so nice. Makes you feel wonderful with all their smiling faces. And quick when I ring my bell. I asked hubby to bring some of my little kjitchen washrags I crochet so I can hand them out before I leave, Or better yet mug rugs.
Have had visitors every day. The Pastor came by yesterday. Hubby has been here with HOlly and Janae spent the first night with me and then I convinced her she could stay home last night. Both girls have not been able to sleep.And Janae works and she looked so tired. She will be back after work today to visit with my dgks. Holly is bringing Hubby over now. They will be here any time. My mom came the first da but not yesterday. And my sis and BIL and mom are coming after lunch. So plenty of visitors. My aunt Mary is coming over from Mesquite with Uncle Doug also. So I have visitors. LOL

Really?
Hello. I am so emotional right now but it's all good. Surgery tomorrow so who knows. In the mean time. Lots of fun here. I love the news slide show, I cried while watching it...an emotional wreck here now. HUGS
Day before.....
Good morning. Or should I say afternoon? I went to town with hubby and MIL to get their shopping done for the month.l And make sure hubby has things he can cook and eat while I am in the hospital starting tomorrow. I am hoping to be home over the weekend like before. Not going to push it. I think my tubes and ports all came out too early. And the way it hurt the last time, I am in no hurry this time. LOL. Owey,,,that's for sure. The head tubes did not want to budge. I think I will do it myself when they are ready.
So Annabelle has not had her kittens but she will. I am thinking she will wait for me because although she is really big and eating like a horse...thinking of Tease here....she is not showing changes in other things. So crossing my fingers. Bella goes out every night and plays and in the morning she is at the door. Like Duke is at hubby's window.
My suitcase is laying open so as the day goes I can add things to take. I am only taking one kaftan to wear after a few days. Can't wear it while all the tubes and ports are in. But I am taking it... Then my makeup so I can freshen up after about day 4. Laptop...check..... angel from Ducky...check.....prayer quilt from Calvery church and Gramma mo.....check.....Peggy sue from NP3 ...check.....cell phone...check.....and whatever else I think I need. A good book, a few Penny Press crosswords, pens,check....one project box of things I can hadn stitch if I get that well to do it. LOL.
So probably won't post here again until after surgery. SO give me a few days., Surgery in the morning at 7....back on by friday?????

Well, another day gone and one day closer to my surgery. Family and friends have called to check the date is still good. My dad's sister, Mary, is coming to see me too from Mesquite. I am going to bed early tonight.....yes it's already after midnight....LOL. Early for me.

One more day until surgery....
I am having a wonderful relaxing day and tonight, my pulse is raging so I am laying down. I imagine it's because my meds are gone and I am taking my antibiotics. They can do that to me. LOL. I love this blog the girls have set up for me. I am going to watch the slide shows right now while I rest. Tomorrow I go shopping for groceries so dh has things while I am gone and then plan to pack my little suitcase and be ready to leave at 4a.m. wednesday morning. Have to be there at 5 but the doors don't even open until then so...taking out time.
Thanks to those who are already visiting my blog to check it out. I am so proud of what they are doing.
Well, going to look at the slide show they prepared. NP3 are you sleeping yet? Seems like you are always planning something special for me. I'm sure life will let me pay it forward one day. HUGS♥♥

Good morning.
Craftybear, I see you are working so hard. I appreciate all you are doing. I played a while in here but will definitely play while laying up in the bed in the hospital. Plenty of time and gives me something to do other than watch bad tv channels. LOL.
Today I have some things to get done by midnight come hughwater and whatever. LOL. We'll see.
NP3 I have so enjoyed hand quilting on Gary's quilt top. I love the golf theme. Now when I am out, anything golf catches my eyes. Of course all the males in my family adn extended family golf, including two of my Great=nephews who are 12 and 8, They are so cute. Anyway, thank you for sending it to be to do. Lots of the backing fabric left for you to make whatevers. It's all in a pile.
I called my mom today and she is wanting to go to the casinos. Asked me again. I hate to tell her no...but no smoke and there's plenty there and my surgery is in two days. So she will have to wait for me. I am going to check with my sister and see if they can take her before they leave on teh 10th for their trek across the state. They are leaving driving and going and stopping wherever they want. I would bet they will stop at all casinos. LOL. It's all in the family.
Well, I will be checking ehre again Craftybear to see how it's going. YOu are so sweet. Thank you. I have to get to my sewing machine. HUGS♥♥

I am getting familiarized with my new blog. Thank you Craftybear for setting it up for me and for answering all my questions. Must be hard to teach someone who has such a short attention span right now. You took the time to make this possible for me and I really appreciate you. HUGS♥♥

Well, three more days until my surgery. I will be so glad to get it over with too. It's been such a long road this time. I want to get back to quilting with friends, and normal life. Hoping things to come are fun things like a good ol' retreat and not some surgery. I am thinking I have to get my elbow fixed asap before the end of the year so I don't have those high deductibles again. Not looking forward to the elbow Kawasaki Bridge surgery but it means no more swollen arm/elbow and back to size large blouses and tshirts. LOL. Seriously. It's sad to buy the size to accomodate an arm. Really?
So the long weekend and then ...off I go. I decided today to journal here also. No special reason other than hopefully it will be here when I want it and I can't lose it. Craftybear is moving my PDA here from the quilting board. More memories to have here.
